Furthermore Virtual Assistants are highly skilled in specialist areas, such as SEO copywriting and the building of websites, to working alongside clients in a more managerial role.
WHAT DOES A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT DO?

Online and offline marketing and promotion
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Copywriting (writing, editing and researching services)
Property management support

Personal assistance services
Virtual Assistants usually have a niche service they work in and provide a handful of admin services alongside it. When hiring, if they are not experienced in the service you require, they usually will point you in the direction of a Virtual Assistant who is.
In terms of costs, Virtual Assistants are usually paid hourly (from £15 per hour to over £50 per hour, depending on their expertise), or on a fixed retainer and as a result can be as flexible as you need them to be.
WHO DO THEY PROVIDE SERVICES TO?
Virtual Assistants offer invaluable support to businesses of all sizes. From a start up business who needs a website built to a corporate business who needs someone to take over the time consuming jobs that burden managers. Either way, a Virtual Assistant will stop your time being wasted on arduous tasks and allows you to focus on your specific goals instead.
A current client of mine runs their business from home and hired me to manage their inbox in order to make their workload easier. Just by doing a couple of hours a week, I am a cost effective way of alleviating inbox anxiety and as a result they are able to focus better on the more important tasks associated with running their business.
WHAT ARE THE PROS OF HIRING A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT?
There are plenty of pros to hiring a Virtual Assistant as outlined in this blog so far but the main one being lower costs! Employing a Virtual Assistant reduces payroll costs and taxes. They already have their own equipment and will invest in new software themselves. There is no need for training as they will already have specialist skills required for the job.
Virtual Assistants only charge for the time they work rather than a salary and therefore are a suitable alternative to full time employees. Because they work on a retainer or pay as you go, there are fixed rates for every task. This also means they are efficient and will adhere to timelines. If you need to keep them on for longer there is no extra employment fee (that you may experience when hiring a temp through an agency), just the cost of the new task. There is total flexibility for how much or how little you need them, alongside how much budget you have.
So in short, a Virtual Assistant will save you time, money AND stress!
